Dr. Laura Morowitz, Professor of Art History at Wagner College, is currently writing a book examining art in Vienna in relation to cultural erasure. Last year she taught a course on Nazi Art and Aesthetics. Her article, “‘Heil the Hero Klimt: Nazi Aesthetics and the 1943 Gustav Klimt Retrospective” will appear in Oxford Art Journal. She served as researcher for a novel on the Adele Bloch Bauer painting to be published by Atria (Simon and Schuster) in 2016. She is the co-author of Consuming the Past: The Medieval Revival in Fin de Siecle France (Ashgate 2003) and co-editor of Artistic Brotherhoods in Nineteenth Century Art (Ashgate 2000).
