Date(s) - 03/05/2016
6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Congregation B'nai Jeshrurn

On Friday night, March 4, 2016 hundreds of synagogues across the continent will
take part in an historic national Jewish event to celebrate what unifies all Jews — Shabbat!
Everyone is invited… singles, couples, families — all ages. “Turn an ordinary Friday night into
something extraordinary!” That’s the magic of Shabbat Across America and Shabbat Across Canada.
By participating in this continent wide event, you will not only have the opportunity to experience
Shabbat, but you will be sharing your experience with tens of thousands of Jews across North
America. Services, traditional rituals, delicious meals and lively discussions are all important
components of the Shabbat experience, as well as the opportunity to spend the evening with old and
new friends. This year marks the 20 year anniversary of Shabbat Across America.
This year’s program will feature a traditional Shabbat dinner which will start promptly at 6:30pm.
The cost is $15 per adult/ $10 per child or youth group member/ $40 maximum per immediate family.
The Hebrew School students will speak about what Shabbat means to them. The Dvar Torah will be
given by Jackson Mushnick.
Friday night services will begin at 8pm and the Hebrew School students will lead the prayers.
Please RSVP by 3/1/16 to Leah at cbjshul@gmail.com or call 718.981.5550.
